This app identifies Bible verses and hymns from short audio recordings. This policy explains exactly what is recorded, transmitted, and stored.

What we record

Audio is captured only while you actively use Listen or Sermon Mode, shown by a clear on-screen indicator. The app never records in the background without an active session you started.

What we transmit and to whom

Captured audio is sent over HTTPS to our server, which forwards it to our AI provider (OpenAI) for transcription and identification. OpenAI does not use this API data to train its models. Our own servers hold the audio only for the seconds it takes to process, then discard it; OpenAI may retain API inputs for a short period (up to 30 days) for abuse monitoring before deleting them.

What we store

• Audio: nothing. Audio is processed in memory and discarded immediately after transcription. We do not keep recordings.
• Results: identified references (e.g. "John 3:16"), hymn titles, a short transcript snippet of the identified quotation, detected language, and timestamps — so your History works.
• Account: an anonymous identifier created on first launch. No name, email, or phone number is required.
• Operational metrics: request counts, latency, and error rates to keep the service healthy.

How long we store it

History and sermon results are kept until you delete them or delete your data. Operational metrics are kept for up to 13 months.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive only the signed transaction needed to activate Premium — never your payment details.

Your choices

You can delete any history item or sermon in the app. To remove everything at once, open Settings and tap Delete My Data: your account, history, saved sermons and favorites are permanently deleted from our servers. Deleting your data does not cancel a Premium subscription — manage that in your App Store account settings.
